What we do with your details
Last updated [date]. If anything here is unclear, email hello@northwardcare.com and we’ll explain it.
This page is a draft
The structure below covers what UK GDPR Article 13 requires you to be told. The bracketed parts still need to be completed and the whole page reviewed by a solicitor before launch. See docs/06-go-live.md.
The basics
Who holds your details
[Legal entity name], a company registered in [England and Wales] under company number [number], at [registered address], trading as Northward Care.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number [ICO number].
Questions, or to ask us to remove your details: hello@northwardcare.com.
What we collect
If you download the guide: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and where you are with the process.
If you join the Register: the above plus your location in India, your nursing qualification and institution, your year of qualification, your registration status, your experience and clinical area, your employer type, your English test status and scores, your NMC progress, when you could move, and your preferences on setting and location.
We also record the page you submitted from, the link that brought you to us, and the date and time.
We do not ask for your passport number, your visa history or any financial detail, and we do not collect a CV through this website.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
To tell you about UK nursing roles that suit your profile — because you consented when you joined the Register. You can withdraw that at any time.
To send you the guide and let you know when we publish something new — [lawful basis to be confirmed: consent, or legitimate interests].
To keep records of who consented to what, and when — legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in being able to evidence it.
Who we share it with
We share your details with a UK employer only when you have told us you want to be introduced to a specific role. Never before, and never in bulk.
We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to other agencies, lead brokers or advertisers.
Our systems providers process the data on our behalf under contract: [hosting provider], [the provider holding the Register], and [email provider]. They may not use it for anything else.
Where it is held
Your details are held on servers in [region]. Where data is transferred outside the UK, that transfer is covered by [UK adequacy regulations / the International Data Transfer Addendum].
How long we keep it
We keep your details for [retention period] from the date you last had contact with us, and then delete them.
If you ask us to remove them sooner, we do it the same working day and confirm that we have.
Your rights
What you can ask us to do
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it in a particular way, or ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Email hello@northwardcare.com. We respond within one month, usually much sooner, and there is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
